lupins

I'm not sure how they got there. On the side of the highway exit, right across the street from the Chrysler dealership and the McD's, lies 100's of these blooms. A proverbial field cascading the soil along the sidewalk. Thousands of commuters must pass this everyday. I wonder if they too notice?

I'm so blown away by all your photos. They're just so beautiful! There's really no other way to describe it. As soon as I see a glimpse my eyes light up. You're very talented.

you are all so sweet ♥
this wonderful encouragement seems to be the perfect thing to get me out with my camera everyday!

Laura: My baby is my Pentax K20, with the vast majority are shot with my Pentax M-Series 50mm lens. (It's 30ish years old, so it is compatible, but only in manual!)

You take beautiful photography. I love the way you used the focus, or did you do that in editing? Who knows, I'm terrible at those types of things. What camera do you use?

Thanks Francesca!

I use a digital SLR camera with manual focusing (twist the focusing ring to focus).

The bokeh (out of focus loveliness) is created in camera. (My lens has a low f-stop (2.82). This just means that is has a small focus-depth).

In editing, I just boost the colours and contrast a little.

Hope that helps :)
